Fujifilm and Swains join forces

Picking the Right Partners

Fujifilm FDIS nominates Swains as main distribution partner

The Fujifilm Digital Imaging Service (FDIS) group was pleased to approve Swains as its new main distribution partner earlier this year. This is in keeping with the group's strategy of continuing to pick the right partners for FDIS. The Swains team is committed to strengthening and enhancing the FDIS marketing support program, and to expanding the membership of the group. It has already contacted most FDIS members to tell them about Swains' new status.

On June 4 this year the team attended an all-day sales meeting with Fujifilm at the corporation's UK headquarters in Bedford.Fujifilm SwainsThe Swains team, which includes managing director Alan Comer, sales director Roy Sealey, and marketing director Danny Williams, was welcomed to Bedford by the managing director of Fujifilm UK, Mr. Mamoru Matsushita, and by photo imaging director, David Honey.

The day began with a welcome from David Honey, followed by a Fujifilm Corporate presentation from photofinishing business group manager Neill Harris. A FDIS marketing support presentation was then given by Peter Wigington, business manager for the FDIS group. The meeting later broke out into a number of show-and-tell product awareness workshops, given in the Fujifilm showrooms and other facilities.

Peter Wigington said: "Fujifilm is really pleased to be working so closely with Swains as our main distribution partner to the FDIS group. Swains has many years of experience in this sector, and with a well established field and office based sales team is the perfect-fit organisation, offering the complete range of photo imaging products and services to our ever growing customer base."

Swains sales director, Roy Sealey, said: "We are delighted. We feel we have the best team in the industry to support and help the independent minilab channel."
