For many years now FUJIFILM UK Ltd has provided its customers, producing Pictrostat, Pictography and Pictroproof waste donor sheets with a free of charge recycling service through our waste management partner, Remondis UK Ltd.

Due to market changes and changes in the use of Pictrostat, Pictography and Pictroproof equipment in the UK in recent years and consequently a reduction in the waste material produced, FUJIFILM is now unable to treat your waste donor material in the same way as previous years and this service will cease effective 1st November 2008.

Under the Hazardous Waste Directive (91/689/EC) donor waste is classified as a non-hazardous waste, with a European Waste Catalogue number of 09 01 07 and can therefore, be disposed of as “controlled waste”.

In light of this, there are several disposal options that your company can consider for waste donor material in the future;

• Remondis UK Ltd will collect from your site for a minimum charge of £50.00 (up to 50 kilos in weight). Any additional weight to be charged at 10p per kilo, or alternatively you can prepay postage and send your waste directly to Remondis UK Ltd for the standard fee of £50.00 (up to 50 kilos in weight).

• Arrange a suitable method of collection for recycling through your own waste management contractor;
• Dispose of the waste through your internal “controlled waste” stream (this is considered to be a last resort option, as it is the least environmentally friendly method of disposal)
